Booking Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Valhalla Travel!

I have read and understood the conditions of this booking. I agree to take out fully comprehensive travel insurance. I also understand that prices, itineraries, schedules, and services can alter without notice for any reason. I am aware that risks and dangers exist during any travel. When considering whether to participate in activities arranged by Valhalla Travel, I have decided to accept and assume all risks and I am aware that all arrangements are made on condition that Valhalla Travel and other companies, authorities, departments, and persons associated shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, death, delay or irregularity suffered.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING WITH VALHALLA TRAVEL AND ASSOCIATED BUSINESSES.

Health and fitness requirements

We recommend that participants take regular exercise. If you suffer from severe muscular, chest, heart, or bronchial disorder, are severely asthmatic, or have high blood pressure, you are strongly advised to consult your doctor before joining the program. Please disclose any medical condition in the place available in the booking form. Insurance

Unless stated, personal travel insurance is not included in the travel arrangement price. Comprehensive travel insurance that includes cover for emergency evacuation and cancellation fees is compulsory and is the responsibility of the client.

Amendments

If you wish to change your original arrangements in any way after your confirmation and invoice have been sent to you, you should notify us in writing, and this will take effect upon receipt by us. Any amendments will incur a $150 per person administration fee in addition to any supplier fees. Travel insurance may cover any amendment fees incurred.

Cancellation

If you cancel your booking, please notify us immediately in writing. Upon receipt by us of your written advice, the cancellation will take effect. Travel insurance may cover any cancellation fees incurred. •If cancellation takes place after deposit and/or interim payments have been made, these payments will be forfeited. •If cancellation takes place after final payment has been made, or within 60 days of departure, 100% of the trip cost will be forfeited. Cancellation charges on flights vary based on the fare paid. Your consultant can advise of accurate cancellation charges on request. Supplier-imposed cancellation and amendment fees may be more restrictive than Valhalla Travel conditions, in which case, these terms must be adhered to. Your consultant will always work in your interest to minimise supplier-imposed fees where possible.

Minimum numbers

Should there be too few people booked on any departure we reserve the right to cancel the trip. In this event, you will be given a full refund on deposits made with Valhalla Travel. It is recommended that additional services, which are non-refundable, not be booked until a tour confirmation has been received as Valhalla Travel will not be held financially responsible for cancellation fees if minimum numbers are not met.

Alteration to the program

I understand that the description, itineraries, and activities described by Valhalla Travel for any program are indicative and prepared with good intentions but may be changed at any time for any reason without prior notice. I understand that it is possible that the itinerary could change due to weather, political restrictions, airline schedule changes, transport delays, or any other unforeseen circumstance. Under no condition will Valhalla Travel accept liability whatsoever in respect of such changes, except as follows. Valhalla Travel will arrange a refund as best as possible for any unused services. Valhalla Travel will assist in arranging alternate transport, or accommodation, or services at your request and at your expense. Valhalla Travel reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure in which case any payment made by you will be refunded in full and you will not be entitled to make any further claim for compensation or damages, for any loss, consequential damage, expenses, loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation.

Conditions of travel

I understand and agree that travel by its nature implies a standard of comfort, safety, conditions, and health different from my home environment and that these conditions can vary from day to day. By participating in this program I accept the risks associated with travelling away from my home and my normal living places. If you have any specific requests such as seating or meals, this information will be loaded into your booking however cannot be guaranteed by Valhalla Travel. Trip cost

We reserve the right to amend our prices without notice, at any time up to and including the day of departure of any trip, in the event of exchange rate fluctuations, increases in fuel costs, airport charges, increases in airfares, or ground operator service fees, or a result of small group size. Many hotels now charge a local tourist tax, this is paid directly to the hotel and is not included in our rates.

Final payment

Final monies are due 90 days prior to departure or the date specified on your invoice. Representation

Except on some matters Valhalla Travel acts only as an agent for airlines, bus companies, hotels, and activity operators and will not be liable in connection with any of the services of these principals or in respect of any information provided by the principals in relation to these services. Items not included

On most programs, the following items are not included in your trip cost. Please refer to your personalised confirmation for an exact list of inclusions. •Passport fees • Visa fees • Extra meals not included in the program • Emergency evacuation charges • Excess baggage charges • Single room use unless previously arranged • Tips and gratuities • Laundry • Medical expenses • Travel insurance • Items of a personal nature • Airfares

Travel documents

A passport is required for all overseas travel. Travellers with passports other than Australian must apply for an entry permit before leaving Australia. It is strongly recommended that you have a minimum of 6 months validity on your passport from the date of return to Australia. It is the client's responsibility to check all visa, passport, and vaccination requirements before travelling. It is recommended that you obtain this information a minimum of 2 months before departure from Australia. If you require assistance getting the required information, please speak with your dedicated travel consultant.

Smoking

There is no smoking onboard tour vehicles, or at restaurant tables when dining as a group.

General disclosure

Individual service providers may impose terms and conditions which are more restrictive to those listed above. In this case, they will override the Valhalla Travel terms and conditions.
