Just Sayin’ – Travel Advice, Inspiration & Insider Knowledge

Welcome to Just Sayin’, the Valhalla Travel blog and your insider's guide to travelling smarter, exploring further and understanding a little more about what goes into creating a great holiday.

At Valhalla Travel, we don't just talk about travel – we live and breathe it. Our blog brings together decades of travel industry experience with practical travel advice, destination inspiration, holiday planning tips and expert insights designed to help you make better decisions about where to go, how to get there and what to experience along the way.

Travel Advice Without the Jargon

The world of travel can become complicated surprisingly quickly. What's the difference between an ocean cruise and an expedition cruise? Is a rail pass actually worthwhile? Should you choose an escorted tour or travel independently? What does an ATIA or CLIA accreditation mean? And how on earth do you put together a multi-country itinerary without spending half your holiday sitting in airports?

These are exactly the types of questions we explore in Just Sayin’.

You'll find articles covering different styles of travel, including luxury holidays, cruises, rail journeys, small group tours, adventure travel, family holidays, solo travel, ski holidays, honeymoons, destination weddings and tailor-made itineraries.

We also take a closer look at the companies and products behind your holiday. From airlines, cruise lines and touring companies to resorts such as Club Med, our supplier features help explain what different travel brands offer and, importantly, which type of traveller they may suit.

Destinations, Experiences & Travel Inspiration

Sometimes you know exactly where you want to go. Other times, all you know is that you need a holiday.

Our destination guides and travel inspiration explore fascinating places around the world, from Antarctica and the Arctic to Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia and the South Pacific. We look beyond simply listing attractions to explore how you might experience a destination – whether that's aboard an expedition ship, travelling by rail, joining a small group tour, staying at a luxury resort or having Valhalla Travel create something completely bespoke.

You'll also discover unusual experiences, new travel products, emerging destinations and those little ideas that can transform a good itinerary into an unforgettable one.

Expert Travel Tips & Industry Knowledge

Just Sayin’ is also where we share some of the knowledge accumulated from decades of working within the travel industry.

Expect practical articles covering flights, accommodation, travel insurance, passports and visas, eSIMs, transfers, cruises, touring and travel planning, alongside important industry updates that could affect your next journey.

Our aim isn't simply to tell you where to travel. It's to help you become a better-informed traveller.

So whether you're researching your next big adventure, comparing different ways to see the world or simply indulging in a little holiday daydreaming, make yourself comfortable and have a browse.

After all, when it comes to travel, a little expert knowledge can go a very long way.
