Rather than asking you to fit your holiday into an existing package, we take the time to understand what you actually want and then bring the individual pieces together into one carefully planned journey.

From a relaxing two-week escape to a complex three or four-week multi-country itinerary, our experienced travel team can take care of the flights, accommodation, cruises, touring, transfers, rail journeys, car hire, activities and other travel arrangements required to turn an idea into a complete holiday.

Tailor-made travel means designing an itinerary around the traveller rather than designing the traveller around the itinerary.

One of the most important parts of our tailor-made travel service happens before we book anything.

We talk.

Our initial consultation gives us the opportunity to understand the type of holiday you are trying to create.

Where have you travelled before? What did you love? What would you never do again? Do you prefer five-star hotels or smaller character properties? Early mornings or leisurely starts? Private touring or meeting other travellers? Business Class on the long flight but Economy on the short sectors? A packed itinerary or plenty of time to explore independently?

Even small details can completely change the way an itinerary should be designed.

A good consultation also allows us to identify things you may not have considered — better routing, sensible connection times, alternative destinations, seasonal factors, the right order in which to visit different places and experiences that fit naturally into your journey.

Sometimes our job is also to explain when something isn't practical.

We will always try to deliver what you want, within reason, but good travel planning is not simply saying yes to everything. If an itinerary is too rushed, a connection is unrealistic, a destination is out of season or there is a better way to achieve the same result, we will tell you.

Our 7-Step Tailor-Made Travel Process

We have developed a straightforward process designed to make planning even complicated holidays feel manageable.

Step 1 — Tell Us About Your Trip

Complete our simple enquiry form and give us an outline of what you are considering.

It doesn't need to be perfect.

Tell us where you would like to travel, your approximate dates, who is travelling and anything else you already know.

Step 2 — Your Complimentary Consultation

A member of the Valhalla Travel team will contact you to arrange a free consultation, by phone or video call.

This is where we start getting into the detail.

We listen to what you want from the trip, discuss your preferences and priorities and begin identifying how we can bring everything together.

Step 3 — Commit to the Planning Process

If you are happy to proceed following your consultation, a $200 non-refundable commitment deposit is payable.

This is not an additional planning fee.

The $200 is deducted from your final invoice for services booked through Valhalla Travel.

It allows our team to begin investing the time required to research, design and refine your itinerary.

Step 4 — We Design Your Journey

Now we get to work.

We research the different components of your holiday, consider the logistics and build an itinerary around the brief we developed together.

Throughout the planning process, we continue working with you.

If there is something you don't like, tell us.

Perhaps a hotel isn't quite your style. You would prefer another night somewhere. You want to upgrade a flight. You have discovered somewhere new that you would love to include.

Travel planning is collaborative, and we can rework the arrangements until we have an itinerary you are comfortable proceeding with.

Our objective is simple:

to deliver the holiday you want — not the holiday that is easiest for us to sell.

Step 5 — Bookings and Payment Schedule

Once you are happy with the arrangements, we move into the booking and payment stage.

Rather than leaving you to keep track of multiple suppliers and payment dates, we prepare a payment schedule and send reminders when progress payments are approaching.

You know what is due and when.

Meanwhile, we continue managing the travel arrangements behind the scenes.

Step 6 — Your Final Travel Documentation

A few weeks before departure, we provide the travel documentation and information you need for your journey.

Your flights, accommodation, touring, transfers and other arrangements have already been brought together as one coordinated itinerary.

We will also provide information about our 24/7/365 emergency support service, giving you a point of contact should you need assistance while travelling.

Step 7 — Enjoy Your Holiday

This is the best bit.

You've discussed it.

We've researched it.

We've planned it together.

Everything is booked.

Now go and enjoy it.
